About us
The Salzburger Lehrerhaus is owned by the Salzburger Lehrerhaus association, which consists of the following three associations:
- Christian Regional Teacher Association of Salzburg (CLV)
- Social Democratic Teacher Association of Austria (SLÖ)
- Liberal Teacher Association of Salzburg (FSL)
Purpose of the association is to provide young people who want to study in Salzburg with a reasonably affordable accommodation. During the academic year 102 students (University of Salzburg, University of Education, Mozarteum and Salzburg College) and pupils of secondary high schools are living in this house.
Since the Lehrerhaus existed, it hasn’t only been an accommodation, but also a place where valuable cultural work has been practiced with and by young people. Next to the studies, making music together (Salzburger Lehrerhaus Brass Orchestra, Salzburger Lehrerhaus Choir) and activities together (like sports and sociability) are supported.
We also attach importance to a reasonable way of dealing with our bases of life. We ask for your compliance in handling energy (heating, electricity) and water and join our waste management as well.
